Never Pay For God's Word! (March 26, 2013)

Before I get into the specifics of this writing about never to pay for God's Word, I would like to say that I, as an apostle and prophet of God, can fully sympathize with the apostle Paul in his writings to the Corinthian church when he compared himself to the so-called super popular name apostles; for I am not at all inferior to these “super apostles,” even though I am nothing at all. When I was with you, I certainly gave you proof that I am an apostle. For I patiently did many signs and wonders and miracles among you. (2. Corinthians 12:11-12 NLT)
He also questioned the Corinthian believers whether he now should begin to praise himself and bring letters of recommendation in order to solidify his position as an apostle, just like these so-called “super apostles” loved to do, as if that qualified them to be a true apostle of God.
Are we beginning to praise ourselves again? Are we like others, who need to bring you letters of recommendation, or who ask you to write such letters on their behalf? Surely not! The only letter of recommendation we need is you yourselves. Your lives are a letter written in our hearts; everyone can read it and recognize our good work among you. Clearly, you are a letter from Christ showing the result of our ministry among you. This “letter” is written not with pen and ink, but with the Spirit of the living God. It is carved not on tablets of stone, but on human hearts.
We are confident of all this because of our great trust in God through Christ. It is not that we think we are qualified to do anything on our own. Our qualification comes from God. He has enabled us to be ministers of his new covenant. This is a covenant not of written laws, but of the Spirit. The old written covenant ends in death; but under the new covenant, the Spirit gives life.
2. Corinthians 3:1-6 NLT
The apostle Paul was an example of how a qualified - by God - Christian leader and teacher is supposed to have a faith walk, doing signs, wonders, and miracles!
This week, I received a Facebook message from a well-known Christian minister who is starting an online training course, and here is what you have to pay to participate: To begin with, a non-refundable $50 fee. Then, a course and material fee of $250, followed by a complicated description of how other fees may accumulate.
But here is the question: Did Jesus Christ or the apostle Paul or any other disciple of Jesus charge anybody for teaching them? The answer is NO! The simple reason is that Jesus Christ gave His disciples the example of how to walk in faith and receive miracles, and that is why He told them; freely you have received, freely give. (Matthew 10:8 NKJV)
Now, why would I want to pay a teacher, who charges me fees in advance, to teach me God's Word of how to walk in faith and expect miracles from God, if the teacher himself does not trust God to miraculously provide money for him?
The teacher is not able to have faith in God for whatever money would come in through love offerings, gifts, or any other means that God could use. No wonder these teachers end up charging you all sorts of fees to teach you the Word of God that they themselves have received for free! Shame on them!!!
These teachers cannot even put one of the fundamental, basic teachings about Christ in action, which is placing our faith in God!
So let us stop going over the basic teachings about Christ again and again. Let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding. Surely we don’t need to start again with the fundamental importance of repenting from evil deeds and placing our faith in God. Hebrews 6:1 NLT
And then, you have those false prosperity preachers, who come up with fees in exchange for your miracle. They give these fees all sorts of names like “$1000 breakthrough anointing seed”, “$300 recovery seed”, “2013 wealth transfer seed”, “Miracle healing seed”, “Passover seed”…and the list goes on and on. They cleverly lie, urge, and pressure you to give immediately, in the very second where the anointing so-called is flowing. If you are lucky, they give you 2-3 minutes to act!
These prosperity preachers falsely promise breakthroughs in your life, and they always seem to start their sentences saying things like: “God is ready to ...”, “This is your year”, “God is about to ...”, “In the next 24 hours ...”, “In the next 30 days God will ....” The Bible warned us about these false teachers: In their greed they will make up clever lies to get hold of your money. (2 Peter 2:3 NLT)
These false preachers want to make you believe that preaching the Gospel costs money, and that you must help them pay for it. Nothing could be further from the truth. Jesus sent His disciples out, instructing them not to take any money with them. Now, that is walking in faith!!!
The Lord now chose seventy-two other disciples and sent them ahead in pairs to all the towns and places He planned to visit. These were his instructions to them: “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask Him to send more workers into his fields. Now go, and remember that I am sending you out as lambs among wolves. Don’t take any money with you, nor a traveler’s bag, nor an extra pair of sandals. Luke 10:1-4 NLT
I urge you to never pay for God's Word! Do not pay when they charge you for conferences to hear and receive from God's Word! Do not pay when they charge you to be taught God's Word online! Do not pay when they charge you for prophecies or prayers! Do not pay when they charge you for a promise of a miracle! Do not pay when they obligate you to tithe 10% of your income! Do not pay when they tell you that you have to buy their books, DVD's, or CD's in order to receive God's blessings and steps to breakthroughs! NEVER PAY FOR GOD'S WORD!!! EVER!!!
I encourage you to go to a church that doesn’t charge for God's Word in any form, and that teaches sound Biblical doctrine that causes you to be led close to Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior!
