Misquoted Scripture | Institute of Love

Here is a scripture that has often been misused and taken out of context by prosperity preachers to make you give them money; “Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.” (Luke 6:38 NLT) Jesus was not speaking about money here, but about the spiritual law of action and reaction. He is showing us that the actions we take, together with the severity of those actions, will cause a return in the same way and in the same manner. In other words, Jesus was speaking about the way be behave! When we give love, we receive love, when we hate, we will receive hatred, when we give mercy, we will receive mercy, when we judge others, we will be judged, and so on. Can this be applied to the giving of money? Yes. Was Jesus speaking about giving money – NO!!!

Teach The Truth | Institute of Love

Jesus said to the religious high priest; everyone knows what I teach, if I said anything wrong, you must prove it! (John 18:22-23) The priest couldn't! That's why, as Jesus, you must teach the truth so that your teaching can't be criticized. Then, those who oppose you will be ashamed and have nothing bad to say! (Titus 2:8)

Suffering For Doing Good | Institute of Love

This is the lie Potiphar's wife told her servants after she tried to seduce Joseph to have sex with her and he took off running; “My husband has brought this Hebrew slave here to make fools of us! He came into my room to rape me, but I screamed. When he heard me scream, he ran outside and got away, but he left his cloak behind with me.” Then she repeated the same lie to her husband, saying; “That Hebrew slave you’ve brought into our house tried to come in and fool around with me,” she said. “But when I screamed, he ran outside, leaving his cloak with me!” Because of this false accusation, Joseph was thrown in prison for 13 years! But the Lord was with Joseph in the prison and showed him His faithful love. And the Lord made Joseph a favorite with the prison warden. Before long, the warden put Joseph in charge of all the other prisoners and over everything that happened in the prison. The warden had no more worries, because Joseph took care of everything. The Lord was with him and caused everything he did to succeed (See Genesis 39:13-23), and in the end, He turned this whole ordeal for the good by making Joseph ruler over Egypt under Pharaoh! (See Genesis 41:37-44) Joseph suffered for doing what is right, and God rewarded him for it! Remember, it is better to suffer for doing good, if that is what God wants, than to suffer for doing wrong! (See 1. Peter 3:14-17) “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them!!!” Romans 8:28 NLT

Being Happy | Institute of Love

According to the dictionary, being “happy” means feeling or showing pleasure or contentment. But the Bible defines happiness as follows, when it says that; if you want to enjoy life and see many happy days, you should keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies. You should turn away from evil and do good,
search for peace, and work to maintain it. (See 1. Peter 3:10-11) As a disciple of Jesus Christ you should get happy when you are being hated, insulted, excluded, cursed, mocked, persecuted, lied about and, all sorts of evil things are being said about you for being a Christian. It should make you very happy to know that God will bless you and give you a great reward in Heaven! (See 1. Peter 4:14. Matthew 5:11-12 and Luke 6:22-23 ) “Are any of you happy? You should sing praises!!!” James 5:13 NLT

Chosen Sheep | Institute of Love

When Jesus, like the apostle Paul, chose you to be His vessel (See Acts 9:15), you automatically become His sheep that listens to His voice and follows Him! No one would be able to snatch you away from Jesus, because His Father has given you to Him, and He is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch you from the Father’s hand. The Father and Jesus are one! (See John 10:25-30) Those sheepthat belongs to Jesus have the Spirit of God in them, and confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. They acknowledge Jesus in all their ways, and follow Him obediently! That's how you recognize those who have the Spirit of God. They will listen to you, because they have the same Spirit of God living in them as you do! But those who do not have the Spirit of God will not confess Jesus Christ as Lord or that He came in the flesh. They have the spirit of the Antichrist. They are of the world and they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. But to those who are God's chosen vessels, He has the following to say: “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world!!!” (See 1. John 4:1-6)

Fasting | Institute of Love

Biblical Christian fasting is going without food, as Jesus demonstrated when He was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted there by the Devil, whom He resisted and ultimately caused to flee from Him. During this time, Jesus fasted for forty days and forty nights. (See Matthew 4:1-2) Fasting and prayer are often linked together, as we can read in Luke 2:36-37 where a prophetess and a widow named Anna never left the Temple, but stayed there day and night, worshiping God with fasting and prayer. In the book of Acts 13:2-3, the believers were fasting and praying to make an important decision, and as they were doing so, the Holy Spirit told them to dedicate Barnabas and Paul for the special work to which God had called them. After more fasting and prayer, they laid their hands on them, and sent them on their way. In turn, Paul and Barnabas, with prayer and fasting, appointed elders in every church, and turned them over to the care of the Lord. (See Acts 4:23) In another passage, Jesus told His disciples that the kind of demon that was in the boy He cured, doesn't go out except by prayer and fasting. (See Matthew 17:14-21) Fasting is also recommended as part of our spiritual growth. We deny our flesh to glorify God! Fasting takes our eyes off the things of this world and makes us focus on God. Fasting gives us a deeper prayer life, and it is a way to demonstrate to God that we are serious about our relationship with Him. In closing, Jesus said that when we fast though, we should not make it obvious, as the hypocrites do, for they try to look miserable and disheveled so people will admire them for their fasting. But when we fast, we comb our hair and wash our face. Then no one will notice that we are fasting, except our Father, who knows what we do in private. And our Father, who sees everything, will reward us!!! (See Matthew 6:16-18)

The Curse Of The Law Of Tithing! | Institute of Love

The apostle Paul said this: “I was a member of the Pharisees, who demand the strictest obedience to the Jewish law.” - which included tithing 10% from HERBS and SPICES! (See Matthew 23:23) That's right, the Old Testament law of tithing was NEVER about money, even though the Pharisees were loaded with cash!!! Furthermore, Paul said: “I was so zealous that I harshly persecuted the church. And as for righteousness, I obeyed the law without fault. I once thought these things were valuable, but now I consider them worthless because of what Christ has done.” (See Philippians 3:5-7) And what did Jesus do? He brought peace to us. He united Jews and Gentiles into one people when, in His own body on the cross, He broke down the wall of hostility that separated us. HE DID THIS BY ENDING THE SYSTEM OF LAW WITH ITS COMMANDMENTS AND REGULATIONS!!! (See Ephesians 2:14-15) So now, this same apostle Paul, who was living according to the Old Testament law of tithing, teaches how New Testament born-again Christians should give their money: “YOU MUST EACH DECIDE IN YOUR HEART HOW MUCH TO GIVE.” 2. Corinthians 9:7 NLT and “On every Lord’s Day, each of you should put aside SOME AMOUNT OF MONEY in relation to what you have earned and save it for this offering.” 1. Corinthians 16:2 NLT  It's also this same apostle Paul who warned us that; “those who depend on the law to make them right with God are under His curse! Galatians 3:10 NLT

God Knows Everything | Institute of Love

God knows everything! (See 1. John 3:20) He knows the outcome of our decisions, and He chooses those who He already knows will choose Him. God chose them to be the holy people He loves. They stripped off their old sinful nature and all its wicked deeds and put on a new nature, and they are being renewed as they learn to know their Creator and become like Him. That is why they do not want to have anything to do with the things they used to do when they were still part of this world, like being sexually immoral, impure, lustful, greedy, worshiping the things of this world, and having evil desires. They also rid themselves of anger, rage, malicious behavior, lying, slander, and dirty language. Their new nature is now tenderhearted, merciful, kind, humble, gentle, and patient. They forgive anyone who offends them and they are always thankful. They let the peace that comes from Christ rule in their hearts. (See Colossians 3:5-15) For God knew His people in advance, and He chose them to become like His Son Jesus Christ! And having chosen them, He called them to come to Him. And having called them, He gave them right standing with Himself. And having given them right standing, He gave them His glory! (See Romans 8:29-30)

Being Chosen | Institute of Love

A true Christian believer has been chosen by God and will produce lasting fruit!!! That is the reason why Jesus said; “you didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit!” John 15:16 NLT Even though many are called by God, those who are chosen by Him are few in number. (See Matthew 22:14) You can identify people by their actions, just as you can identify a tree by its fruits, whether it's good or bad. (See Matthew 7:17-20) It is the same thing with those who are called by God and those who are chosen by God. Many of those who are called, are the ones who hear the Gospel, only to have Satan come at once and take it away. There are also those who hear the message and immediately receive it with joy. But since they don’t have deep roots, they don’t last long. They fall away as soon as they have problems or are persecuted for believing God’s word. Then you also have these so-called Christians who hear God’s word, but all too quickly the message is crowded out by the worries of this life, the lure of wealth (the prosperity gospel), and the desire for other things, so no fruit is produced. But then you have those who are chosen by God; they are the ones who hear and accept God’s word, and produce a harvest of thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted. (See Mark 4:15-20) These are the good fruits of the Holy Spirit they walk in: Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control! (See Galatians 5:22-23) These chosen ones - through their actions - give God Glory, because everyone can taste and see through the way they conduct themselves, that the Lord IS GOOD!!! (See Psalm 34:8)

Mercy | Institute of Love

Religious Christians are not humble people who think of others as better than themselves, and they don't know the meaning of the Scripture where Jesus says: “I want you to show mercy, not offer sacrifices. For I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.” Instead, these religious Christians condemn, judge, and accuse others, looking only out fortheir own interests, and are always busy trying to impress others with their hypocritical, self-righteous behavior, acting as if they are so perfect, squeaky clean, and never doing anything wrong! (See Philippians 2:3-4 and Matthew 9:13) They are like the Pharisees who arrogantly look down on people, as they did when “Matthew invited Jesus and his disciples to his home as dinner guests, along with many tax collectors and other disreputable sinners. But when the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with such scum?” Matthew 9:10-11 NLT  The Pharisees were also ready to condemn and stone a woman to death they had caught in the act of committing adultery. But Jesus exposed them, saying; “Let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone!”  When they heard this, they slipped away one by one, beginning with the oldest, until only Jesus was left in the middle of the crowd with the woman. Then Jesus stood up again and said to the woman, “Where are your accusers? Didn’t even one of them condemn you?” “No, Lord,” she said. Then Jesus mercifully said to the woman, “Neither do I. Go and sin no more.” (See John 8:1-11) “God blesses those who are merciful, for they will be shown mercy!!!” Matthew 5:7 NLT

Be Healed! – A Prophetic Word | Institute of Love

Ecclesiastes 3:3 says; there is a time to heal - and that time is NOW!!! Think of it, the Lord is ready to heal you!
Sing His praises! (See Isaiah 38:20) Whatever the sickness or disease might be, whether it is demon possession, epilepsy, or paralysis, Jesus Christ will cast out the evil spirits with a simple command and heal all sickness! (See Matthew 4:24) This fulfilled the word of the Lord through the prophet Isaiah, who said, “He took our sicknesses
and removed our diseases.” (See Matthew 8:16-17) NOW IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, BE HEALED!!!

Love Explained | Institute of Love

Love comes from God, who loved us first! He showed how much He loved us by sending His one and only Son Jesus Christ into this world, so that we might have eternal life through Him. All, who confess that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God. That is why anyone who loves is a child of God, and knows God. It is this God-given love that propels us, not only to love Him with all our hearts, soul and mind, but also to love ourselves, our neighbor, our brother and sister, and our enemy. This is the proof that God has given us His Spirit; that we live in Him and He in us. That is why it says that if we love each other, God lives in us, and His love is brought to full expression in us and grows more and more perfect. God's love has no fear and is not afraid of punishment, because this perfect love expels all fear. It is because we know how much God loves us, that we put our trust in His unfailing love! God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. Therefore, if we love each other, God lives in us! But if someone says, “I love God,” but hates a Christian brother or sister, that person is a liar and does not know God, FOR GOD IS LOVE!!! (See 1. John 4:7-21, Matthew 22:37 and Matthew 5:44)

The Blood Of Jesus That Gives New Life | Institute of Love

No one can undo what they have done; the mistakes, the sexual encounters, and the wasted time they have spent on activities that have been fruitless. But, whenever someone feels dirty and down and depressed, knowing that nothing they have done so far in life has brought the satisfaction they were looking for, they can always turn to God and ask Him to wash them in the blood of Jesus. You see, the blood that Jesus shed on the cross wasn't just any blood, it was redeeming, cleansing blood that took away all of our sins - all that which drags us down and makes us burdened and heavy. All we have to do is admit that we cannot do it our own way anymore. Now we step aside, and allow Jesus Christ to transform us by giving us a new life! We put our trust in Him for everything - our future, our hopes and dreams, our family situation, our finances, our belongings, yes even our very own lives here on earth. We decide not to live for ourselves any longer, but let Jesus tell us what great work He has planned for us. We humble ourselves and admit we are stained and soiled, good for nothing in our own strength and need His help, His saving power. We abandon our previous beliefs of self-indulgence and self-sufficiency, and leave our old lives with all its sinful habits and traditions behind for a completely new, transformed life, where we change every day so we become more and more like Jesus, the King, the gentle and meek one of heart, the one who is full of grace, compassion and loving kindness. The one who is the Way, the Truth and the Life. The one who loved us first, and who exchanged our stone hearts with new compassionate hearts. The one who lifts us up from the sinking clay and gives us a new future full of hope and blessed assurance that we are loved and chosen, precious and valuable.
Jesus said; "If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for me, you will find it." (Matthew 10:39 NLT)
Today is the day of salvation, the day to let go of the past in faith, taking a new grip with our tired hands, and surrender our lives to Him who loved us so much that He willingly suffered and died, and shed His precious redeeming blood, for us. For you. For me.

Read Matthew 26:28, Colossians 1:14, Ephesians 1:7, Hebrew 9:14, 1. John 1:7, Revelation 1:5.

They Say They Went To Hell | Institute of Love

“Now, son of man, speak out against the women who prophesy from their own imaginations. This is what the Sovereign Lord says: What sorrow awaits you women who are ensnaring the souls of my people, young and old alike.” Ezekiel 13:17-18 NLT  How sick is this - so-called Christian women prophets, who say they went to hell and came back with a serious warning from God that women who wear jewelry and hair pieces will go to hell! These women are nothing but agents of Satan, who masks themselves as Christians to deceive the true followers of Christ. “But I am not surprised! Even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no wonder that his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness.” 2. Corinthians 11:14-15 NLT  These women are like the blind religious Pharisees, who are so eager to clean the outside of the cup and the dish, but inside they are filthy—full of greed and self-indulgence! (See Matthew 23:25) Jesus clearly said; “It is what comes from inside that defiles you. For from within, out of a person’s heart, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, wickedness, deceit, lustful desires, envy, slander, pride, and foolishness. All these vile things come from within; they are what defile you.” Mark 7:20-23 NLT - NOT THE WEARING OF JEWELRY – or hair pieces, or makeup, or false eye lashes, or pants and high heels for that matter!!! Therefore, “beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep but are really vicious wolves!” Matthew 7:15 NLT

Jesus’ Prayer For Me | Institute of Love

Before Jesus was crucified and raised from the death, He prayed to the Father among other things the following; “I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in me through their message. I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me. I’m not asking you to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from the evil one. They do not belong to this world any more than I do. Make them holy by your truth; teach them your word, which is truth. Just as you sent me into the world, I am sending them into the world. And I give myself as a holy sacrifice for them so they can be made holy by your truth. I have given them the glory you gave me, so they may be one as we are one. I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me. Father, I want these whom you have given me to be with me where I am. Then they can see all the glory you gave me because you loved me even before the world began! O righteous Father, the world doesn’t know you, but I do; and these disciples know you sent me. I have revealed you to them, and I will continue to do so. Then your love for me will be in them, and I will be in them.” (See John 17:1-26) THANK YOU LORD JESUS FOR PRAYING FOR ME AND LOVING ME!!!

Religious Sect Leaders | Institute of Love

Religious sect leaders and preachers are hypocrites, just like the teachers of religious law and Pharisees whom Jesus warns us against. They cross land and sea to make one convert, and then they turn that person into twice the child of hell they themselves are! (See Matthew 23:15) They are also the kind who work their way into people’s homes and win the confidence of vulnerable women who are burdened with the guilt of sin and controlled by various desires. Such women are forever following new teachings, but they are never able to understand the truth. (See 2. Timothy 3:6-7) "They lure unstable people into sin, and they are well trained in greed." 2. Peter 2:14 NLT  They love to brag about themselves with empty, foolish boasting. (See 2. Peter 2:18) “When these people eat with you in your fellowship meals commemorating the Lord’s love, they are like dangerous reefs that can shipwreck you. They are like shameless shepherds who care only for themselves.” Jude 1:12 NLT  “They will deceive others and will themselves be deceived.” 2. Timothy 3:13 NLT  They must be silenced, because they are turning whole families away from the truth by their false teaching. And they do it only for power and money. (See Titus 1:11) Watch out for them! They will act all religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!!! (See 2. Timothy 3:5)
