2017 PROPHETIC WORD

Wisdom has entered this nation, says the Lord! Many will understand what it means to fear Me and they will gain My knowledge. I will straighten the crooked financial paths for My people and provide all that is needed to further My Kingdom message! I will break through the resistance against Me in the land! My Name will reappear and be talked about! I will demonstrate that all I prophesy through My servants will come true! I am the Lord; that is My name! I will not give My glory to anyone else, says the Lord!

THE ART OF DISCERNING

Jesus said: “Not everyone who calls out to Me, Lord! Lord! will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter.  On judgment day many will say to Me, Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.  But I will reply, I never knew you. Get away from Me, you who break God’s laws.” Matthew 7:21-23 NLT

This passage also applies to many of the well-known Televangelists, pastors, prophets, and ministers who all preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, prophesying in His name, casting out demons in His name, and performing many miracles in His name. And yet all these ministers are not God’s true chosen followers of Jesus Christ, and will not enter heaven! These ministers are like what the Bible describes them; false apostles of Christ, deceitful workers who disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. (See 2. Corinthians 11:13-15) Or, they are false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep but are really vicious wolves. (See Matthew 7:15)

The Scriptures warn us not to believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit, but we must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from God. For there are many false prophets in the world! (See 1. John 4:1)

The way we identify and test these ministers whether they are good or evil is by their fruit and that is by the way they act, their motivation! (See Matthew 7:16-20)

As I said before, many of these false ministers do preach about Christ, but not with pure motives. They preach with selfish ambition, to make money, make a name for themselves, to control and have power over people, out of jealousy and rivalry. (See Philippians 1:15-17)

A true minister of God is supposed to care for people not for what he or she can get out of it, but because he or she is eager to serve God. And never should a minister of God lord over or control the people assigned to his care, but lead them by his own Christ-like example of pursuing righteousness and a godly life, along with faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness! (1. Peter 5:2-3, 1. Timothy 6:11)

DID JESUS CHRIST CELEBRATE HANUKKAH?

There is a false teaching circulating around this time of year, saying that Christians are supposed to celebrate the holiday feast of Hanukkah, remembering and celebrating God’s miracles.

Hanukkah, or the Festival of Dedication, was a yearly event celebrating the dedication of the Temple after Antiochus IV Epiphanes defiled it in 167 BC. The revolt under the leadership of Judas Maccabeus was the most recent deliverance in the history of the Jews. Hanukkah was not one of the feasts God commanded the Jews to celebrate, but it was popular among the people.

The Bible Scripture used to support that Jesus so-called celebrated Hanukkah, comes from John chapter 10 verses 22 and 23, where it says:

“It was now winter, and Jesus was in Jerusalem at the time of Hanukkah, the Festival of Dedication. He was in the Temple, walking through the section known as Solomon’s Colonnade.” John 10:22-23 NLT

Jesus was not there to celebrate Hanukkah, but was walking around! Jesus was at the Temple for a time debating with the Pharisees, and then He left! (See John 10:24-38)

Therefore, to think that Jesus celebrated Hanukkah can absolutely not be proven scripturally!

And besides this, the Scriptures do say: “Don’t let anyone condemn you for what you eat or drink, or for NOT celebrating certain holy days or new moon ceremonies or Sabbaths.” Colossians 2:16 NLT

SEXUAL SPIRITS DO EXIST

The Bible says: “For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against EVIL SPIRITS in the heavenly places!” Ephesians 6:12 NLT

Spirits go by many names; even God and Satan are identified by numerous names and titles in the Bible.

There are two specific evil spirits that I want to address in this study. The first one is called Incubus, which is defined by the dictionary as one that lies on persons in their sleep; one that has sexual intercourse with women while they are sleeping.

The other spirit is named Succubus. This is a demon that assumes female form to have sexual intercourse with men in their sleep.

These two evil spirits are also referred to as “sex demons” or “night demons.” They are a powerful, high-ranking class of demons. These demons are primarily spirits of sexual perversion. Night demons are basically spirits of lust.

We see evidence of this happening in the Bible book of Genesis 6 verse 4, where it says: In those days, and for some time after, giant Nephilites lived on the earth, for whenever the sons of God had intercourse with women, they gave birth to children who became the heroes and famous warriors of ancient times.”

This means that the “sons of God” were fallen angels, demon spirits who had sex with human women, impregnating them, and causing them to give birth to giants, abnormal people. Incubus and Succubus are the same class of demons that operated in those times, only now they are looking to impregnate people with spiritual perversion and lust.

The Incubus and Succubus spirit manifest itself to the conscious mind and cause it to experience all of the stimulation and physical feelings that take place during intercourse or sexual contact with a physical person. The demons most often reveal themselves to people during the nighttime hours, but can manifest at any time of the day.

These demonic spirits can have such a strong effect on people that they can cause overwhelming sexual urges in the body, so strong that they completely take over the mind. This can happen at any time, but tend to be most common when lying down.

The Incubus and Succubus spirit is also responsible for sex dreams. Those are dreams during which you are engaged in sexual contact or intercourse, or dreams in which your body has a spontaneous orgasm. Another manifestation of Incubus and Succubus is nightmares – realistic, graphic, heart-stopping nightmares that rob you of sleep and make you awake frightened. Many people also claim to actually see spirit bodies that come and subject them to various sexual acts. These spirits are often violent and will attack you by beating, choking, and restraining you.

However, it is important to understand, that not every powerful sexual urge in the body is due to a demonic manifestation. Strong sexual urges can be purely hormonal, or just good old-fashioned arousal at the thought of enjoying intercourse with your spouse. When sexual urges come on suddenly without warning and you simply cannot control them without having an intense battle, that is when you know they are demonic.

A vast amount of Christians are being kept in bondage by the Incubus and Succubus spirits, whose purpose is to impregnate them with fear and in doing so, pervert their faith. The devil knows that fear induces a desire to seek comfort. Sexual activity, especially sexual fantasy and masturbation, bring about a temporary sense of false comfort. Therefore, by inducing fear, these lust demons cause you to be that much more likely to commit sexually perverse acts. People that are afflicted by these spirits will experience a tremendous amount of failure and often feel cursed.  Their belief system has simply been perverted.

But Jesus Christ came to set the captives free (see Luke 4:18)! All you have to do is renounce the Incubus and Succubus spirits that have entered into your life and their works.

“Submit yourself to God! Resist the devil, and he will flee from you!” James 4:7 NLT

EVANGELISTIC PRESSURE

When Jesus said in the Bible book of Mark chapter 16 verses 15 to 18 NLT to: ‘Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned. These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak in new languages. They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them. They will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed,’ He was talking to His disciples that He had chosen, gifted as apostles, trained, and prepared for this task of evangelizing the world!

Jesus was not speaking to all of us believers to do the same thing! How do I know?

Because it clearly says in Romans 12:6-8 NLT:
In His grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you.  If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well.  If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly.”

And then this telltale passage: “All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it. Here are some of the parts God has appointed for the church:

first are apostles,
second are prophets,
third are teachers,
then those who do miracles,
those who have the gift of healing,
those who can help others,
those who have the gift of leadership,
those who speak in unknown languages.

Are we all apostles? Are we all prophets? Are we all teachers? Do we all have the power to do miracles? Do we all have the gift of healing? Do we all have the ability to speak in unknown languages? Do we all have the ability to interpret unknown languages? Of course not!” 1. Corinthians 12:27-30 NLT

In other words, we all have been given different gifting’s to serve God in whatever capacity and circumstances He calls us to serve in!

There are lots of foolish doctrines and teachings out there, that force and guilt trip believers to do things that God never gifted and called them to do! In this case of being pressured to evangelize for instance, the believers are being told by their pastors and leaders that they must evangelize and bring people to salvation in the Lord in order to fulfill God’s will and receive His blessings. Some are even being taught that depending on how many people they lead to the Lord and heal, it will give them special crowns and places in Heaven. They say that “bearing fruit” is how many people you get saved, instead of understanding that bearing fruit refers to developing the fruits of the Holy Spirit in your character according to Galatians 5:22-23! What a deception!

It is for this very reason, that the apostle Paul wrote the following: “Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do His work and build up the church, the body of Christ.” Ephesians 4:11-12 NLT

This means that a good church will encourage you in the gift that God has given you, and equip you to do God’s work and follow His calling!

WHEN YOU ARE MARRIED TO AN ASSIGNMENT | By Edwin Christiaan

This is when you are married to someone who is appointed by the Devil to obstruct and destroy your walk with God!

For the man, this means: You are married to a woman, who is not submissive to the will of Jesus Christ and His Word. Instead of helping you, she constantly hinders you from accomplishing God’s will. Instead of you leading her in God’s ways, she is taking charge over you; disrespecting your authority as her head, while leading you away from God. She is not humble and gentle, but likes to teach you how to treat her, and she will vex you until you give into her demands. You are in a constant power struggle with her, because she refuses to submit to you as God - through His Word - has purposed for her to do.

For the woman, this means: You are married to a man, who does not submit to the will of Jesus Christ and the Bible. Instead of loving you like Christ loves the church, he treats you harshly, and is unkind and abusive towards you. He does not honor you by speaking good things about you, but instead he looks at other women and lusts after them. He does not treat you with understanding, and he does not regard you as his equal partner in God’s gift of new life. Because of the way he treats you, God is not answering his prayers and therefore there is no blessing in your relationship with him. The marriage is stuck in a curse!

Ephesians 5:21-33, Proverbs 31:11-12, 1. Peter 3:1, Colossians 3:19, Matthew 5:28, 1. Peter 3:7

WE BELIEVE IN GOD’S WORD AND POWER, BUT NOT THIS STUFF! | Edwin Christiaan

Some time ago, my wife and I completely distanced ourselves from the circles of churches and ministries, who are teaching and conducting unbiblical doctrines and practices. Here is a list of what we are talking about:

·      The obligation of tithing to be blessed or be member of the church.
·      The sowing of money seeds in exchange for financial breakthrough or healing.
·      The getting rich Prosperity Gospel.
·      The name-it-and-claim-it teachings.
·      Pastors begging for money and living in wealth and luxury at the expense of the church.
·      The giving of special high-level leadership callings and titles like presidential seals and mantels.
·      The following of Jewish laws with the blowing of shofars and the waving of flags and touching of banners to bring God’s presence and blessings.
·      The keeping of Sabbaths or other Jewish feast celebrations and commemorations as a requirement to please God and be blessed.
·      The year of Jubilee debt cancellation teachings.
·      The purposely-crafted around-the-corner financial breakthrough prophesies.
·      Teachings on how to get into alignment with God in order to receive money blessings, healing, and spouses.
·      Revelations and teachings about the crashing of Wall Street and the world economy, like the Shemitah and Blood Moon that is supposed to signal the end of the world.
·      The New Apostolic Reformation with its Seven Mountain teachings, like being an apostle that has dominion in the marketplace.
·      The coming end-time Great Wealth Transfer for Christians.
·      Teachings on how to get supernaturally transferred or travel in the spirit from one place to another.
·      The charging for conferences, worship concerts, seminars, worship and prophetic schools.
·      The selling of books, CD’s, DVD’s, and food in the church for profit.
·      The you-can-only-be-married-one-time-to-be-in-the-ministry doctrine, and that once you are married the marriage is automatically blessed by God.
·      The teachings that God does not want you to suffer or to be poor.
·      Fire impartations and tunnels.
·      The worship of the anointing, miracles and the supernatural.
·      Supernatural manifestations of gold dust and feathers.
·      Smoke supposedly being the glory cloud.
·      Angel obsession.
·      Spiritual birthing.
·      Teachings on how to get drunk in the spirit.
·      Uncontrollable laughter, jerking, and shaking.
·      The laying on the graves of deceased ministers in order to soak up their anointing.
·      The going-to-Heaven-and-sit-on-the-Father’s-throne teachings and prophecies.
·      The Hyper Grace doctrine.
·      Motivational, and the Law of Attraction teachings.
·      Female pastors having authority over men and teaching them.
·      The adoration and elevation of pastors and worship leaders.
·      And finally, the teaching of cessationism – the belief that miracles and speaking in tongues have ceased to exist.

The majority of the churches and prophetic gatherings are in actuality the Synagogues of Satan, where masses are being deceived and led astray!

We are supposed to be like the people of Berea, who searched the Scriptures day after day to see if what people were teaching was indeed the truth, and not like the Corinthian Church, where they happily put up with whatever anyone were telling them, even if they preached a different Jesus, or they had a different kind of Spirit, or taught a different kind of gospel. (See Acts 17:11, 2. Corinthians 11:4)

CAN CHRISTIANS BE POSSESSED BY DEMONIC SPIRITS?

No Christian who is a chosen born-again child of God can have both a demonic spirit and the Holy Spirit living in him or her. Why is that?

That’s because God’s children receive the Holy Spirit and they do not make a practice of sinning, for God’s Son, Jesus Christ holds them securely, and the evil one, the Devil, who is the author of sin, cannot touch them! (See 1. John 2:27, 1. John 5:18)

However, Christians can have a demonic spirit influencing them in their body and mind.

That is why Christians are being told through the scriptures to humble themselves and resist the Devil so he will flee from them, by using God’s mighty weapons to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments, bringing every rebellious thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ! (See James 4:7, 2. Corinthians 10:3-5)

This means to stay alert, stand on the Word of God in faith, and pray in the Spirit at all times! (See Ephesians 6:10-18)

TRUE IDENTITY | Edwin Christiaan

The apostle Paul said, “For though I am free from all men, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win the more!” 1. Corinthians 9:19 NKJV

Being free from all men also means that you continue to serve God whether people honor you or despise you, whether they slander you or praise you. Whether they call you an impostor when you are honest, or whether they ignore you, even though you are well-known. (See 2. Corinthians 6:8-9)

In other words, our identity is not dependent on how people value us, but it is in Christ who truly loves us for who we are! That’s why it says that “nothing can ever separate us from God’s love!” Romans 8:38 NLT Yes! Nothing, NOBODY!

Because, “If God is for us, who can ever be against us?” Romans 8:31 NLT

DREAMING BIG? | Edwin Christiaan

Nowhere in the Bible does it say, that we are supposed to “dream big” for God and demand of Him to use us big league in the area of leading others. Why? Because those God has chosen to be His children, He works in them, giving them the desire and the power to do WHAT PLEASES HIM! (See Philippians 2:13)

Yes! God works in His children, transforming them by changing the way they think and in doing so, they learn to know His will, which is good and pleasing and perfect! (See Romans 12:2)

God’s children then become like His Son, Jesus Christ, who did not come to this earth to be served, but to serve others! (See Romans 8:29, Matthews 20:28)

As Jesus taught His disciples: “Whoever wants to be first must take last place and be the servant of everyone else.” Mark 9:35 NLT

And, “Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant!” Mark 10:43 NLT

THE REAL DEAL | Edwin Christiaan

The Bible says that when a great wave of persecution began sweeping over the first church, many of the believers were dragged out of their homes and thrown into prison and others were scattered throughout the regions. But despite the persecution, they continued to preach the Good News about Jesus Christ wherever they went! (See Acts 8:1-4)

That tells me, that these Christians were the real deal, and not those Jesus referred to as ‘those who hear the Gospel and immediately receive it with joy, but then fall away as soon as they have problems or are persecuted for believing God’s word!’ (See Mark 4:16-17)

CHURCH OBSESSION WITH GETTING RICH | Edwin Christiaan

The church is full of people who long to be rich. The prosperity preachers tell them that Jesus was rich while here on earth, and that God wants nothing more than to lavish His children with an abundance of material blessings! These preachers falsely teach that in order for you to get rich, you must tithe and sow large money seeds to them.
But what you see happening, is that the people despite of giving all their money, are not getting rich! Instead, as the Bible says, they fall into the temptation of gambling their money away, getting into debt and because of it, they are now being trapped by this foolish and harmful desire of getting rich, that plunge them into financial ruin and destruction (see 1. Timothy 6:9-10).

Jesus Christ was not rich while He was living on this earth! During His public ministry, Jesus and His disciples depended entirely on the hospitality of others as they ministered from town to town. He told His disciples:

“Don’t take any money in your money belts—no gold, silver, or even copper coins. Don’t carry a traveler’s bag with a change of clothes and sandals or even a walking stick. Don’t hesitate to accept hospitality, because those who work deserve to be fed.” Matthew 10:9-10 NLT

And Jesus said about Himself,

“Foxes have dens to live in, and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place even to lay his head.” Luke 9:58 NLT

Jesus did not come to make you financially rich, but He will take care of your needs, as He said,

“For your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask Him!” Matthew 6:8 NLT

Therefore,

“Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need!” Matthew 6:33 NLT

That’s why the apostle Paul, a disciple of Jesus Christ, taught that,

“True godliness with contentment is itself great wealth.  After all, we brought nothing with us when we came into the world, and we can’t take anything with us when we leave it.  So if we have enough food and clothing, let us be content.” 1. Timothy 6:6-8 NLT

“And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from His glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus!” Philippians 4:19 NLT

YOU ARE URGED TO STAY AWAY | Edwin Christiaan

The Bible says: “Bad company corrupts good character.” 1. Corinthians 15:33 NLT

This means, being in relationships with people that God did not mean for you to be in, is bad! The consequences of having relationships with unrepentant people can be devastating and painful and open the doors to all sorts of curses in our lives, which includes always being sick and having financial problems! It will not lead us to the heart of Jesus Christ and His blessings, but on the contrary, away from God into confusion, loss of peace with God, and ultimately corrupting our good behavior! Being in bad relationships almost always bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, evil speaking and malice (see Ephesians 4:31).

That is why the Scriptures warns us to stay away from people who are unloving and unforgiving; who slander others and have no self-control and are cruel and have no interest in what is good. We must stay away from those who betray their friends, are reckless, puffed up with pride, and who love pleasure rather than God. These are the kind of people who will act as if they are religious, but they will reject God’s power that could make them godly (see 2. Timothy 3:2-5)!

We also need to watch out and stay away from people who cause divisions and upset people’s faith, by teaching things that are contrary to what the Bible, the Word of God, teaches us. Such people are not serving Christ our Lord, they are serving their own personal interests. By smooth talk and glowing words they deceive innocent people (see Romans 16:17-18).

And, we are not to associate with anyone who claims to be a Christian and yet indulges in sexual sin, or is greedy, or worships idols, or is abusive, or a drunkard, or a swindler. Don’t even eat with such people (see 1. Corinthians 5:11)!
