Is There A Correlation? (May 26, 2011)

For thus says the Lord of hosts: "He sent Me after glory, to the nations which plunder you; for he who touches you touches the apple of His eye. For surely I will shake My hand against them, and they shall become spoil for their servants. Then you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent Me. Zechariah 2:8-9 NKJV
Is there a correlation between President Barack Obama touching Israel and God’s wrath on America?
President Obama announced on May 20, 2011 during a televised speech that any quest for peace between Israel and the Palestinians "must begin with a return to the 1967 borders."
By calling for a Palestinian state with a border with Jordan, President Obama rules out an Israeli presence in the Jordan Valley. This valley is the eastern corridor through which Arab armies marched into Jerusalem in the wars of 1948 and 1967. Without control of this area and others, it would be almost impossible for Israel to defend its’ borders against its enemies. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from Israel openly rejected this proposition before President Obama and also during a speech before the US Congress last week without Obama’s presence.
By calling for a return to pre-1967 borders, Obama removed America’s guarantee of security. Obama now has demanded more of Israel than U.N. resolution 242, adopted after the 1967 war. Resolution 242 never mandated that Israel withdraw from the entire disputed territories, much less that Israel give away part of itself.
At the same time as all the above mentioned was happening, severe storms including historic tornado outbreaks ripped through the central US leveling entire communities and killing hundreds of people. Homes and buildings hit by some of the storms - which included a series of mammoth tornadoes - just disappeared, and the devastation left behind looked like a war zone and is described as catastrophic.
History has shown that whoever touches the apple of God’s eye, the land of Israel, can expect God to protect and defend it as He warns: "The land must never be sold on a permanent basis, for the land belongs to Me." Leviticus 25:23 NLT
“For He will avenge the blood of His servants; He will take revenge against His enemies. He will repay those who hate Him and cleanse the land for His people." Deuteronomy 32:43 NLT
President Barack Obama and his administration is making a big mistake by touching the land of Israel in the manner they are doing right now. The only way Obama and all of us ought to treat Israel is to pray and support her, and in doing so, we will prosper and not call the wrath of God upon our nation and our lives.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: "May they prosper who love you." Psalm 122:6 NKJV
