Grace Deception | Institute of Love

A travesty that we hear about more and more, is that ungodly people are worming their way into churches, twisting the Word, saying that God’s marvelous grace allows us to live immoral lives. (See Jude 1:4) In doing so, these false teachers keep the people from becoming effective and productive Christians that will enter the Kingdom of God. What a deception! The plain truth is that if you are a born-again Christian, you are commanded to “work hard to show the results of your salvation by obeying God with deep reverence and fear.” Philippians 2:12 NLT In fact, “you have to make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins.” And here it is, YES! You have to “make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble, and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” (See 2. Peter 1:3-11)
