Caring For Animals | Institute of Love

“The godly care for their animals, but the wicked are always cruel.” Proverbs 12:10 NLT This means that a righteous person will take good care of his or her animals or pets, treating them with kindness and have concern for their needs and welfare. The wicked, at other hand, neglect and mistreat animals, causing them needless suffering by kicking and abusing them, or even killing them for fun. The Bible also calls it a perverse act if a man defiles himself by having sex with an animal, or if a woman offers herself to a male animal to have intercourse with it. (See Leviticus 18:23) A godly person will never make an idol of his or her animals by loving them more than God, but instead, a godly person will always put Jesus Christ first, worshiping Him as the glorious, ever-living God who is the Creator of all animals! (See Romans 1:23)
