Is Anything Too Hard For God? | Institute of Love

Abraham's wife Sarah laughed silently to herself when she heard she would have a baby and said, “How could a worn-out woman like me enjoy such pleasure, especially when my master—my husband—is also so old?” Then the Lord said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh? Why did she say, ‘Can an old woman like me have a baby?’ Is anything too hard for the Lord? I will return about this time next year, and Sarah will have a son.” And that is indeed what happened, Isaac, the promised son was born! (See Genesis 18:11-14) The same thing happened to this very old couple, Zechariah and Elizabeth, who were unable to conceive children. After he was told by an angel that he would have a son, Zechariah said, “How can I be sure this will happen? I’m an old man now, and my wife is also well along in years.” Against all the odds, that's exactly what happened, John the Baptist was born! (See Luke 1:5-23/57-65) Indeed, NOTHING IS TOO HARD FOR THE LORD!!!
