Jesus Went Around Doing Good | Institute of Love

Our great enemy, the devil, goes around prowling like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. (See 1. Peter 5:8) “But Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.” Acts 10:38 NLT  One of them was the man in the synagogue who was possessed by an evil spirit who began shouting, “Why are you interfering with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God!” Jesus cut him short. “Be quiet! Come out of the man,” He ordered. At that, the evil spirit screamed, threw the man into a convulsion, and then came out of him. (See Mark 1:23-26) Another was a demon-possessed man, who was blind and couldn’t speak. Jesus healed the man so that he could both speak and see. (See Matthew 12:22) “And whenever those possessed by evil spirits caught sight of Jesus, the spirits would throw them to the ground in front of Him shrieking, “You are the Son of God!” Mark 3:11 NLT  Jesus commanded us to go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone and among other things, cast out demons in His name and heal the sick (See Mark 16:15-18), just like the apostle Paul and Silas did, when they commanded in the name of Jesus Christ a demon in a possessed slave girl, who was a fortune-teller, to come out of her. And it left her instantly! (See Acts 16:16-18)
