Conflict Oriented | Institute of Love

A conflict oriented person is the same as being a quarrelsome person. These kind of people will always cause angry disputes and arguments by purposely disagreeing with you, finding faults, and complaining about you. Proverbs 26:21 NLT says that “a quarrelsome person starts fights as easily as hot embers light charcoal or fire lights wood.” Quarreling and fighting comes from the evil desires at war within a conflict oriented person. (See James 4:1) The Bible also says that “anyone who loves to quarrel loves sin.” Proverbs 17:19 NLT But “a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone.” 2. Timothy 2:24 NLT God wants us to know that avoiding a fight is a mark of honor and that only fools insist on quarreling. (See Proverbs 20:3) We as followers of Jesus Christ belong to the day, and therefore we must live decent lives for all to see and not participate in the darkness of wild parties and drunkenness, or in sexual promiscuity and immoral living, or in quarreling and jealousy. (See Romans 13:13)
