List Of False Doctrines In The Church | Institute of Love

Whether it is the Evangelicals, Baptists, Pentecostals, Charismatics, Presbyterians, Methodists, or any other Christian denomination or non-denominational church or ministry group, you will find teachers who teach destructive doctrines and heresies, and even deny the Master who bought them. Many follow their evil teachings and shameful immorality. In their greed they will make up clever lies to get hold of your money. And because of these teachers, the way of truth will be slandered. (See 2. Peter 2:1-3) Here is a list of some of the false theologies: Cessationism, (the belief that the gifts of the Holy Spirit, such as speaking in tongues, prophecy, and faith healing ceased from being practiced early in Christian Church history), the “once saved always saved” idea, tithing, keeping of the Sabbath, the prosperity gospel, name it and claim it proclamations (which by the way is based on the New Age philosophy of the Law of Attraction), special Jewish festivity money “seed” offerings, disqualification from being in ministry once divorced and/or remarried, men being forbidden to have long hair, women pastors teaching men and having authority over them, hyper-grace, same-sex marriage along with tolerance of homosexuality, and the list could go on and on. We all, who accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, have the same obligation as the people of Berea in the Bible book of Acts, who searched the Scriptures day after day to see if what was being taught to them was indeed really the truth. They did not want to be fooled!!! (See Acts 17:11)
