FOR ALL THOSE CHRISTIANS LIVING IN FORNICATION

According to the dictionary, fornication means ‘sexual intercourse between a man and woman not married to each other.’

The Bible says, “But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints.” Ephesians 5:3 NKJV

In other words, God does not approve of a lifestyle of living together and having sex without being married.

Jesus said to the woman He met at the well, “You don’t have a husband— for you have had five husbands, and you aren’t even married to the man you’re living with now.” John 4:17-18 NLT

Jesus was making it obvious to this woman what He thought about her lifestyle of living in the sin of fornication!

It for this reason the Scriptures say: “Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.” Hebrews 13:4 NKJV

FEARING BEING LONELY FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE?

Being alone can sting a lot, the deep burning pain in your chest when you wake up that never seems to go away. The struggle whether this is the will of God or not for you to be alone for the rest of your life or maybe one day to get married?

The traditional society says, ‘Unless you have a spouse and a family, you can’t possibly be a legitimate person.’ While the modern society says, ‘Unless you have sex and romance and love, you can’t possibly be fulfilled.’

But Christians know that God has a purpose for their lives, whether to be in marriage or to stay single as the apostle Paul taught;

“But I wish everyone were single, just as I am. Yet each person has a special gift from God, of one kind or another.” 1. Corinthians 7:7 NLT

That is why not being married for a Christian believer does not mean something is missing. On the contrary, the Bible says that;

“An unmarried man can spend his time doing the Lord’s work and thinking how to please Him.”

And;

“In the same way, a woman who is no longer married or has never been married can be devoted to the Lord and holy in body and in spirit.” 1. Corinthians 7:32+34 NLT

CAN CHRISTIANS BE POSSESSED BY DEMONIC SPIRITS?

No Christian who is a chosen born-again child of God can have both a demonic spirit and the Holy Spirit living in him or her. Why is that?

That’s because God’s children receive the Holy Spirit and they do not make a practice of sinning, for God’s Son, Jesus Christ holds them securely, and the evil one, the Devil, who is the author of sin, cannot touch them! (See 1. John 2:27, 1. John 5:18)

However, Christians can have a demonic spirit influencing them in their body and mind.

That is why Christians are being told through the scriptures to humble themselves and resist the Devil so he will flee from them, by using God’s mighty weapons to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments, bringing every rebellious thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ! (See James 4:7, 2. Corinthians 10:3-5)

This means to stay alert, stand on the Word of God in faith, and pray in the Spirit at all times! (See Ephesians 6:10-18)

YOU ARE URGED TO STAY AWAY | Edwin Christiaan

The Bible says: “Bad company corrupts good character.” 1. Corinthians 15:33 NLT

This means, being in relationships with people that God did not mean for you to be in, is bad! The consequences of having relationships with unrepentant people can be devastating and painful and open the doors to all sorts of curses in our lives, which includes always being sick and having financial problems! It will not lead us to the heart of Jesus Christ and His blessings, but on the contrary, away from God into confusion, loss of peace with God, and ultimately corrupting our good behavior! Being in bad relationships almost always bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, evil speaking and malice (see Ephesians 4:31).

That is why the Scriptures warns us to stay away from people who are unloving and unforgiving; who slander others and have no self-control and are cruel and have no interest in what is good. We must stay away from those who betray their friends, are reckless, puffed up with pride, and who love pleasure rather than God. These are the kind of people who will act as if they are religious, but they will reject God’s power that could make them godly (see 2. Timothy 3:2-5)!

We also need to watch out and stay away from people who cause divisions and upset people’s faith, by teaching things that are contrary to what the Bible, the Word of God, teaches us. Such people are not serving Christ our Lord, they are serving their own personal interests. By smooth talk and glowing words they deceive innocent people (see Romans 16:17-18).

And, we are not to associate with anyone who claims to be a Christian and yet indulges in sexual sin, or is greedy, or worships idols, or is abusive, or a drunkard, or a swindler. Don’t even eat with such people (see 1. Corinthians 5:11)!
