Sex In Marriage | Institute of Love

How often you should have sexual intimacy with your spouse is at your discretion, but you should know that the Bible says that both husband and wife should fulfill each others sexual needs, and not hold back or deprive each other from having sex. The only reason would be if both husband and wife agree to take some short time to seek God in prayer, but afterward they should continue to have sexual relations. In doing so, they build and strengthen their relationship, and at the same time they protect themselves against the temptations of the Devil. Sex should never be used as a tool for reward, intimidation, control, or abuse!
“The husband should fulfill his wife’s sexual needs, and the wife should fulfill her husband’s needs. The wife gives authority over her body to her husband, and the husband gives authority over his body to his wife. Do not deprive each other of sexual relations, unless you both agree to refrain from sexual intimacy for a limited time so you can give yourselves more completely to prayer. Afterward, you should come together again so that Satan won’t be able to tempt you because of your lack of self-control.” 1. Corinthians 7:3-6 NLT
